Openldap ne démarre pas!

Bonjour toule monde
je suis entrain de mettre en place un serveur openldap sous FreeBSD.
j'ai installé la version openldap-2.3.41
ensuite jai configuré les fichiers nécessaire( slapd.conf, ldap.conf ) pour faire marcher le serveur.


mon souci c'est que j'arrive pas à demarrer mon serveur ni a rajouter une entrée dans mon annuaire.

J'ai le même problème que toi, j'arrive à démarrer le service OpenLdap, mais le process n'est pas présent

Pour info je suis sous Xubuntu 8.04 LTS

avez vous lu les lors pour savoir d ou vient le problème??
Sous linux, les lors sont très utiles et apportent beaucoup d infos contrairement a un certain autre OS...

KP2, Openldap est bien installé, j'ai suivi ce tuto : doc.ubuntu-fr.org...

Lorsque je relance le service ldap après avoir ajouté le contenu du fichier .ldif, il me dit bien que le service ldap a bien été lancé, mais dans les process je ne vois rien, d'où le log dans mon précédent post.

et y'a quoi dans dans ton fichier .ldif ? D'après les logs y'a une inconsistance entre ta conf (example.com) et le contenu de tes données

pour le fichier syslog dont vous m'avez parlé je le trouve tjrs pas, j'ai bien cherché dans /var/log par contre j'ai un fichier qui contient les probleme que j'ai, c'est "debug.log"

tu l'as lu le log ?
regarde bien, l'erreur est marquee dedans...

As tu configure ton service? OpenLDAP n'est pas un service qu'on installe et qui marche immediatement... faut le preconfigurer un minimum avant.
As tu lu un tutorial de demarrage rapide sur le site officiel OpenLDAP ?

Oui je sais , biensur il faut faire des preconfiguration.
donc les fichier de cnfiguration tel : slapd.conf , ldap.conf je les ai bien configuré en suivant ce tutorial. julp.developpez.com...
et j'ai bien vu les erreurs que j'ai dans le fichier debug.log mais j'arrive pas à les resoudre j'essai de trouvé une solution mais sans succé!!pi voila
en fait kand j'essai de démarrer le service : sa me donne sa
starvil#/usr/local/etc/rc.d/slapd start
Strating slapd
mais kand je fais sa :

starvil#/usr/local/etc/rc.d/slapd status
slapd is not running
as-tu une idée ?

bon on a fai du progré , le serveur arrive a démarrer pendant 7 minutes.

j'ai profité des ces minutes pour ajouter mon fichier de base ( test.ldif ) qui contient la racine de mon annuaire.
et pi ensuite il s'est arreté kom un con lol
et en verifiant mon fichier debug.log j'obtient d'autres erreurs que je suis entrain de voir a quoi sa correspond.

j'arrive bien a démarrer slapd.je m'explique :
j'ai tapé la commande suivante :
stavril#/usr/local/libexec/slapd -d 255
Ensuite j'ai fai :
stavril#/usr/local/etc/rc.d/slapd start
en faisant :
stavril#/usr/local/etc/rc.d/slapd status sa donne sa =====> slapd is running as pid 791.
voila voila
pour ceux qui savent pas encore je suis sous FreeBSD 7.0 release!
